About Dr Eric Mutema

I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in Urogynaecology.

I achieved my undergraduate qualification in 2001 and subsequently undertook training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Northwest deanery, where I gained broad experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology patient management.

During this period, I successfully completed 2 Advanced Training Specialty Modules (ATSM) in Urogynaecology and Vaginal surgery as well as one in advanced labour ward practice.

I then underwent went into a further 2½ years of sub-specialty training in Urogynaecology at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, where I widened my experience in all aspects of female pelvic floor problems including vaginal prolapse, Obstetric anal sphincter injuries and urinary incontinence. I was awarded a certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with in March 2015.
